The Warnaco Group

The Warnaco Group, Inc., was organized in 1986, designed, manufactured and marketed a broad line of apparel. The Company operated in three business segments, Intimate Apparel, Sportswear, and Retail Stores. In June 2001, the Company, and certain of its subsidiaries, voluntarily petitioned for protection under Chapter 11 for the Southern District of New York.
Intimate Apparel
The Company's Intimate Apparel Division designed, manufactured and marketed women's intimate apparel that includes bras, panties, sleepwear, shapewear and daywear. The Company also designed and marketed men's underwear. The intimate apparel division marketed its lines under the brand names, Lejaby, Bodyslimmers, Calvin Klein, Olga, Warner's, White Stag, Van Raalte, Fruit of the Loom and Weight Watchers. .
A growing number of investors and collectors have expressed interest in obtaining the defunct shares as reminders of the roaring, heady days of the bubble - and the mistakes made when it burst.
