The American Liberty Note is beautiful to look at and highly collectable.  These NORFED  notes are ornately designed with silver foil on high-quality paper, and portray American freedoms, ideals, and values.  For example, microscopically printed in the borders of the notes are the Declaration of Independence, the Bill of Rights, and the U.S. Constitution.

Very few American Liberty Notes remain because most of them were redeemed for the silver or gold the note represented. Once the note was received and subsequently redeemed, the note was ground up and destroyed.  Additionally, the remaining notes were seized by the  U.S. Federal Government and now that the court case against Bernard von NotHaus has been lost, all of these left over notes will be destroyed.
